I am in desperate need for summer to hurry QUICK! I haven't been healthy since before the new year. After seeing all of the family and all of us sharing colds I have caught pretty much everything under the sun so far. Granted I've caught maybe two colds from family the rest I am catching it from my new job. I've had the sore throat, the cough attack cold, the head cold with the runny nose that won't stop and your nose ends up pealing because you wipe it so much. And just when I thought things had to start looking up I start coming down with PINK EYE! Yes I said it PINK EYE! I couldn't finger out why my eye felt like it had a rock in it scratching it every time I blinked until Tricia (a woman I work with) told me that sounded like pink eye. This was yesterday and I new I couldn't go the whole weekend without getting a prescription ASAP. My mom was able to get a hold of my eye doctor (Thank GOODNESS) and he called in a prescription for me. I was so relieved I started to cry because I couldn't take the pain or irritation much longer. But don't you worry I stayed at work watching other people kids with this irritation in my eye and tried to keep my cool every time these kids said or yelled or whined about anything. I definitely placed yesterday in one of my most miserable day ever box of memories. Once I put those eye drops into my eyes I was golden. It really did feel like instant relief. I have to wear my classes all the time now but I will do anything just to feel better.
So as you can see I am stocked for summer to come because than I can take my students outside into the fresh air and not have them too confined; with me in a room where all of their coughing and touching of the mouth then touch me can stay to a minimum.
